The Mallala Museum held an exhibition of wedding gowns from their collection during History Month May 2018. The event called "Down the Aisle - Wedding dresses through the years" featured 19 gowns displayed throughout the museum.

The black silk two piece gown c.1900 may have been used as a wedding gown but the owner is unknown. The gown is full length and the skirt has unpressed pleats. The short jacket is unstructured and has a small collar with a little embroidery and fastening at the centre front. It features full length loose sleeves.
